LITTLE GOAT , AN ULTRA HIP BUT OLD SCHOOL DINER, WAS BROUGHT TO US BY CHEF STEPHANIE IZARD- WINNER OF TOP CHEF SEASON 4. SHE OPENED IT'S DOORS IN FALL 2012 RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM HER NIGHTTIME GIG "GIRL AND THE GOAT". AFTER ENDLESSLY PERUSING THE MENU FILLED WITH MANY APPEALING OPTIONS, CASEY DECIDED TO TAKE A STAB AT THE VISUALLY UNAPPEALING, YET COMPLETELY SATISFYING "SPAGHETTI AND CLAMS". FOR ME, IT WAS A HARD DECISION BETWEEN THE BULL'S EYE FRENCH TOAST AND THE FAT ELVIS WAFFLES. I CHOSE ELVIS. I MEAN, YOU REALLY CAN'T GO WRONG WITH PEANUT BUTTER AND BANANAS SMOTHERED ACROSS TWO PERFECTLY BROWNED WAFFLES, CAN YOU?
LITTLE GOAT IS YOUR TRADITIONAL ALL DAY DINER, BUT WITH A MUCH APPRECIATED ATTENTION TO DETAIL SPIN ON EACH CLASSIC DISH. OH, AND MUCH BETTER DECOR!
LITTLE GOAT IS LOCATED IN THE WEST LOOP OF CHICAGO AT 820 W. RANDOLPH ST. 60607
I WOULD RECOMMEND MAKING RESERVATIONS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAN ON DINING OVER THE WEEKEND.
